### Why this part is proved rather than swapped

One control architecture runs across this entire corporation, which is why a board is the first thing named and the first thing named wrongly. A control that has genuinely died almost always died of something — a supply that sagged in a storm, a browned connector, a motor drawing beyond its rating, a relay welded shut — and every one of those is still in the appliance when the new board goes in. So the supply is measured under load, the harness is opened, and what the board is being asked to run is checked before anybody orders the dearest common part on the machine.

What the board is being asked to run

A motor drawing beyond its rating, a stuck relay, a shorted element — all of them present as a control problem and all of them will take the next board too.

Then the board, and then the programming

A replacement is configured to your model before the appliance is handed back. Fitted and not configured is the commonest way this repair comes back.

### The shop said it is the board. Is that likely?

Sometimes, and it is diagnosed by resemblance more often than by measurement. A board is the easiest thing to blame because everything routes through it, and it is the one part whose replacement proves nothing when the appliance fails again a month later.

### Does a new board work straight out of the box?

No. It is configured to your model afterwards, and on this make an unconfigured board produces small wrong behaviours nobody links back to the repair. Fitted and not programmed is the commonest way this job returns.
