### The appliance most likely to have done the diagnosis for us

A hundred and seventy-five numbered pages out of two hundred and ninety-three on wall ovens makes this the most documented thing the maker builds, so the display has usually named the subsystem before anybody arrives. Photograph it. That matters more here than anywhere else in the kitchen, because on a wall oven the cost is dominated by access rather than by the part — a tall housing, a heavy cabinet, joinery either side — and a code that decides what comes on the van is the difference between one visit and two.

Out by the same amount every time is usually the sensor. Swinging either side of the number is more often the control. Uneven browning is the convection half.

### Can it be repaired without taking the oven out?

Usually. Sensors, latches, hinges, elements and most control work happen in the housing. What genuinely needs it out is the fan motor and the wiring behind the cavity, and on a double oven that is quoted openly rather than discovered on the day.
